Random Acts of Kindness Week & P.S. I Love You Day at Idle Hour

Idle Hour Elementary School celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Week and P.S. I Love You Day with a variety of meaningful activities designed to spread positivity and promote teamwork.
Students and staff dressed in purple on Feb. 13 in recognition of P.S. I Love You Day. As part of the celebration, Mrs. McIntyre’s third grade class wrote and illustrated reflections on how they can “Be a Light” for others. Parents sent in paper light bulbs describing how their children have demonstrated kindness at home, reinforcing the theme, “We Shine When We Are Kind.”
Some of the activities during Random Acts of Kindness Week and P.S. I Love You Day included creating Valentine’s Day cards and decorative door hangers for residents at The Arbors, helping students extend kindness into the community.
Students also attended a special assembly presented by The Islanders, who shared their message about the importance of teamwork.
