An Attitude of Gratitude at Idle Hour

Idle Hour’s fourth grade Student Government created a bulletin board display in the school’s main hallway to highlight the district’s Character Education/EASL Program. The character theme for November was gratitude.
The students each colored a letter in the words “attitude” and “gratitude” and then wrote what it is they are grateful for. Students mentioned family, teachers, veterans, being thankful for having enough food to eat and more.
Each month, the fourth or fifth grade Student Government will create a bulletin board that reflects the current EASL theme. Before designing their display, students will learn about the month’s theme and decide how best to promote good character through their board.
